Yuma Jazz Society INC: August 18, 2008 The Yuma Jazz Society began a journey to produce, promote, educate and preserve jazz & blues music in Yuma, Arizona.
KAWC FM 88.9: Randy Love describes Jazz Alive as being a show about relaxing and taking off the edge. To that end, every Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00pm, listeners can expect to hear a mix of light jazz sounds to put them in tune with that quiet place. Jazz Straightahead is a weekly two-hour radio program featuring jazz, hosted by "Doc Jazz" (aka Cary Meister). Call it straightahead, mainstream, or acoustic, the program is in the line that begins with traditional (New Orleans, Chicago), on through swing, bop, cool, hard bop, third stream, and post-bop, right up to today's young lions of the sax, trumpet, piano, bass, and drums--and other instruments.
Red Moon Music Studio: At Red Moon Music Studio Lessons are customized to the individual.Rock, Country, Pop, Blues, Jazz, Gospel, Ect. Steve Cano teaches Reading, Theory, Scales, Modes, ect. Any Song the student wants to learn can be taught using a CD. He makes the lessons interesting and fun to hold the attention of the student.
